Strategic Study of CAE 2021, Volume 23, Issue 4,   Pages 30-36 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2021.04.004

Abstract:

The lagging informatization and intellectualization of the agricultural product postharvest supply chain is the main factor that results in low circulation efficiency and serious quality loss. Improvement on the postharvest added values of agricultural products necessitates the planning of intelligent logistics for agricultural products in China. In this study, we analyze the demand for intelligent logistics of agricultural products, summarize the development status, and investigate the problems existing in informatization, standards and quality, and professionals. Considering China’s conditions, we propose the development goals and key tasks of the intelligent logistics for agricultural products in China by 2035. The study shows that strengthening policy support, improving the standardization system, and promoting personnel training are the foundation for the intelligent logistics of agricultural product. The continuous innovation and extended application of the new-generation information technology has promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional agricultural logistics toward intelligent agricultural logistics in China. In the future, an intelligent, integrated, and green supply chain will be the major development direction for intelligent agricultural logistics. This study can provide a basic reference for improving overall operation efficiency and upgrading service quality of the agricultural logistics industry.

Study on Fluvial Process and Regulations of Typical Shoal of Middle Yangtze River

Lu Yongjun,Liu Jianmin

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 7,   Pages 40-45

Abstract:

Based on analyses of fluvial process and the reason of the shoal deformation, the shoals of the middle Yangtze River can be divided into three kinds, i.e. the shoals of the braided reach, the shoal of the straight transitional reach and the shoal of the bend. The influences of cut-off of the lower reach of Jingjiang River and river bed evolution on the shoal due to the set-up of Gezhouba Dam are briefly presention. The regulation principle and the regulation engineering preliminary layouts of the typical shoal are discussed.

Electricity demand, GDP and employment: evidence from Italy

Cosimo MAGAZZINO

Frontiers in Energy 2014, Volume 8, Issue 1,   Pages 31-40 doi: 10.1007/s11708-014-0296-8

Abstract: This paper applies time series methodologies to examine the causal relationship among electricity demand, real per capita GDP and total labor force for Italy from 1970 to 2009. After a brief introduction, a survey of the economic literature on this issue is reported, before discussing the data and introducing the econometric techniques used. The results of estimation indicate that one cointegrating relationship exists among these variables. This equilibrium relation implies that, in the long-run, GDP and labor force are correlated negatively, as well as GDP and electricity. Moreover, there is a bi-directional Granger causality flow between real per capita GDP and electricity demand; while labor force does not Granger-cause neither real per capita GDP nor electricity demand. This implies that electricity demand and economic growth are jointly determined at the same time for the Italian case. The forecast error variance decomposition shows that forecast errors in real per capita GDP are mainly caused by the uncertainty in GDP itself, while forecast errors in labor force are mainly resulted from the labor force itself, although aggregate income and electricity are important, too.
